I'm a Terrorist and I didn't even know it!

The transcript can be found here: http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/face_120405.pdf, just so you don't think I'm making this stuff up about the guy who wanted to be our President and MY Commander in Chief.

I've highlighted in bold the section I find interesting...

Sen. KERRY: Let me--I--first of all, there is so much more that unites Democrats than divides us. And Democrats have much more in common with each other than they do with George Bush's policy right now. Now Joe Lieberman, I believe, also voted for the resolution which said the president needs to make more clear what he's doing and set out benchmarks, and that the policy hasn't been working. We all believe him when you say, `Stay the course.' That's the president's policy, which hasn't been changing, which is a policy of failure. I don't agree with that. But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment. You've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...
SCHIEFFER: Yeah.
Sen. KERRY: ...Iraqis should be doing that. And after all of these two and a half years, with all of the talk of 210,000 people trained, there just is no excuse for not transferring more of that authority.

You're right John, we go in there for the sole purpose of terrorizing the kids and women... It can't be because their poor wittle daddy has a stack of 155 shells waiting to be made into IEDs, an arsenal of RPGs, AK-47s, and other wittle harmwess weapons lying around. It can't be because we are trying to stop their daddy from boobytrapping another Elementary School and killing the same kids we "terrorized" just the other night. We don't go in there for the purpose of scaring women and children, we go in there to catch their schmuck of a husband and dad. We go there at night because they're home at night. We go at night because they can't shoot at us as easily when they can't see us.

(paraphrasing) "we shouldn't be terrorizing the women and children, and breaking the historic and religious customs ... the Iraqis should be doing that." Go ahead... Keep calling Bush the idiot. The Iraqis had already done that very thing under Saddam's regime for years and it's come to an end.

Someone I love very much once posted:
I'd just like to say, here and now, that: if we miss out on the next presidential election, we are complete and total morons, and should just DISBAND the Democratic party.
W has done more for us than we EVER could have done for ourselves.

Though I interpret that last sentance a bit different than you do, he HAS done more for us than the Democrat's previous candidate would have.

Well, that's my weekly rant... Family is doing well. Everyone's growing strong and/or old.
