Winter is here. Well, it has been, but I didn't count it because the boys and I hadn't yet enjoyed a good snow day. I was excused from work today due to a "winter weather event" and decided it was a good day to dust off the ole $2 sleds from Target and take the boys for a good sled and snowball fracas. With much reluctance (yeah, right) they agreed to go and only after realizing their undergarments were wet through and that they couldn't feel their faces, we pried Charlie's tongue from the flagpole and headed home for cocoa and popcorn. Not a bad day at all. Here're (Look Ma, I just mutilated a contraction!) a couple of pics and the journal entries of what the boys had to say about it.
Spelled Simon-phoenetically of course.
Oh yeah, the title of this blog is in reference to my not having posted recently and my need to... ketchup. (Pulp Fiction reference) And I heard it on the radio today (won't say from whom) and I couldn't agree more. "If you really had any feeling behind Valentine's Day, you'd've done it yesterday." Or any other day of the year, so far as I'm concerned. I don't need to be told a day to love my wife and family. Have a great, albeit regular, day.
